Energy Union stop in Budapest was a great success!

Thank you all for joining the campaign for renewable energy and intelligent life style in the capital of Hungary. The fourth tour stop was a huge success.

Specially designed train wagon stopped at Nyugati train station on Saturday, August 15. Many passers-by, station visitors and travelers curiously visited the wagon, and some of them jumped onto the interactive dance-floor Gridio by Brightonart to have fun. The inside installation included also the Friends of the Earth information panel. More than a hundred Energy Union sign-cards were collected during the train station session!

Following day, the Energy Union was hosted by the biggest central European music event - Sziget Festival. The afternoon discussion about climate change and Intelligent energy by the Friends of the Earth - Hungary raised the interest in the Greed Garden area of Sziget. Matt Black and Jonathan More of Coldcut met several fans after the discussion and the lucky ones were leaving the lovely area with the latest Coldcut CD or DVD.

The highlight of the Budapest tour stop was the unique brand new Coldcut VJ film. It took place in the biggest dance stage of the festival - Burn Party Arena - were the crowd of 4.000 people enjoyed the 75-minute piece of live cinema. Coldcut, accompanied by string players quartet on the stage, proofed their status of the VJing and audiovisual cutup pioneers.

Almost 1.000 sign-cards were collected after the show. Thank you all for coming, supporting the Energy Union initiative and signing the cards.
